The concert performance of Tamerlano at the Royal Opera of Versailles continued the project’s international journey, bringing together leading international soloists and musicians from Uzbekistan on one of Europe’s most prestigious historic stages.

The principal roles were performed by Zhenisbek Piyazov, Juan Sancho and Veronica Cangemi, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the baton of Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, together with the Honoured Choral Ensemble of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The project’s musical concept, developed by Kirill Richter, combined the Baroque foundations of the work with a contemporary musical language while maintaining respect for the original score.
