For the first time, the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation arrives at Milan Design Week 2026 with When Apricots Blossom — a landmark exhibition at Palazzo Citterio, Brera.

Gayane Umerova, ACDF Chairperson, invited twelve local and international designers and Uzbek artisans to work on a thematic and curation developed by renown Thai architect Kulapat Yantrasast. The project offers a poetic exploration of craft, culture and the ecological story of the Aral Sea region through wood, silk, felt, ceramic and reed.

Alongside the exhibition: the Aral Culture Summit, the Aral School, and Where The Water Ends — a specially commissioned film documenting the social and environmental realities of the region.
