On 18 June, the International Conference on Strengthening Cultural Ties and Developing Creative and Cultural Industries was held at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St Petersburg with the participation of the Heads of Government of the CIS member states. The conference focused on humanitarian cooperation, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the development of the creative economy.
As part of the conference, a panel discussion entitled “Creative Industries in the Agenda of Interstate Cooperation Across the Commonwealth” took place, featuring Azizbek Mannopov, First Deputy Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation. In his remarks, he presented Uzbekistan’s experience in developing the creative economy, highlighting government support for the sector and the role of cultural heritage in the development of contemporary creative industries. Participants discussed prospects for cooperation in culture and the creative economy, while Uzbekistan’s experience attracted considerable interest from international experts and conference participants.
