The opera Tamerlano will be presented in concert version for the first time on 9 April 2026 at the Musikverein in Vienna, Austria. Previously, this interpretation of George Frideric Handel’s work was staged in a theatrical format; the Vienna performance will mark its first appearance in concert form as an independent academic musical statement.

The concert performance will feature the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and the Honoured Choir of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The solo roles will be performed by People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Jenisbek Piyazov, Spanish tenor Juan Sancho, and Argentine soprano Verónica Cangemi.
