Hundreds of spectators gathered for a concert by the distinguished conductor, UNESCO Artist for Peace Vladimir Spivakov, and People’s Artist of Russia Hibla Gerzmava, which took place on 5 May in the square in front of the Palace of Friendship of Peoples in Tashkent. The maestro dedicated this performance to the upcoming Day of Memory and Honour. In tribute to this occasion, admission to the concert was free.
Accompanied by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, wartime songs were performed — “Eh, Roads”, “On an Unnamed Height”, “Cranes”, “The Tenth Battalion”, and others — as well as symphonic works.
