An exhibition entitled Earthly Love and Heavenly Love: Vladimir and Konstantin Makovsky has opened at the Fabergé Museum in St Petersburg as part of the cultural programme of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum and the St Petersburg Seasons festival. The project marks the 180th anniversary of Vladimir Makovsky and will remain open to visitors until 13 September 2026.

The exhibition brings together around 170 works from more than 25 museum collections, including those of Russia’s leading museums. It features paintings and artworks by Vladimir and Konstantin Makovsky drawn from the country’s крупнейших museum collections.

Uzbekistan is represented at the exhibition by nine works from the collection of the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan. The participation of Uzbek museum pieces in the project contributes to the development of international museum cooperation and broadens the representation of Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage within major international exhibition initiatives.
